2.3.1: The Anniversary Update

Released on September 8 2025
-----------------
Cake's Cosmetic Pack is back! Atleast for another update before falling into uncertainty again. This one is just to celebrate its predecasor's 1st birthday. A proper update will release sometime next month, and side-note: it'll have lots of hats.
-----------------
CHANGES AND ADDITIONS
-----------------
• Added the "Anniversary Backpack". The Cake pallete was chosen by D°Uzi for one of his packs.
• Increased the amount of custom slots by 1.
-----------------
PACK DOCUMENTS:
-----------------
• Changed UUID in order to prevent replacing the pack’s contents every update.
• Changed Version number to 2.3.1.

2.3.0: The "Capes-O-Plenty" Update

Released on March 23 2025
-----------------
This is the last update for the pack for a while. I want to do other stuff than develop this pack. And this update is HUGE. Probably bigger than the last one.

Also Minecraft Live was really cool, especially the visual overhaul and the summer drop.
-----------------
COMPANION PACK
-----------------
• The next companion pack's theme are "Capes as Backbling". Here are the cosmetics:
-- Purple Heart: The Heart floats and reacts to damage!
-- Pancage: The syrup is cursed, which is why the pancakes are floating and why the syrup around the container is animated.
-- Vanilla: Java and Bedrock, on your back.
-- Realms Mapmaker: A tiny world on your back! The sun glows aswell!
-- Translator Book: The most complex and best cosmetic I've ever done. Floats on back and has colourful enchanting particles ingame.
-----------------
CHANGES AND ADDITIONS:
-----------------
• Unrelated to the pack but, Retook certain screenshots for the pack.
• Removed the blood seen on the "Axed head" cosmetic.
-----------------
FIXES:
-----------------
• Oh boy, this list is long.
• When using the Character Creator Enabler, The cosmetic is now visible on certain servers such as the Hive... Kinda.
-- It works but in default mode, You'll have to remove the cape for the cosmetic to be visible.
-- Oddly enough, compatibility mode seems to be working differently in this update. More info is on the notes.
• While using the Character Creator Cape, The cosmetic is now visible in the UI without a cape.
• All cosmetics in the Weapons Companion Pack no longer throw content errors.
-- However, the fix caused the "Quiver" and the "Sword & Shield" to use the default texture with the paperdoll. Why it doesnt affect the "Axed Head" cosmetic? ~(•_•)~
• Duplicate folders wont appear if "Images.zip" wasnt unzipped on an Operating System other than MacOS and iOS.
• The legs on the Placeholder Model now exactly matches the default player model.
• Removed an extra cube on the "Modern Backpack" Cosmetics.
• Fixed Typos in the Pack.
-----------------
PACK DOCUMENTS:
-----------------
• This is even longer!
• Changed notes referencing the rotated model.
-- In short, the rotated model for back cosmetics has to be rotated via an animation is because it cant be rotated by changing the model... Kinda
-- Its quite inconsistent. Sometime, it does, while other times, it doesnt. So ill say it doesnt work
• Change description both in and out of all the packs to improve clarity. Here are the changes:
-- Cosmetic Pack: Added "If you want to use a companion pack, make sure it is placed ABOVE this pack."
-- Companion Pack Pre-Subpacks: "Must be used with Cake's Cosmetic Pack BELOW the companion pack." -> "Apply ABOVE Cake's Cosmetic Pack."
-- Companion Pack Subpacks: "This must be used with Cake's Cosmetic Pack to enable the cosmetic." -> "Apply ABOVE Cakes's Cosmetic Pack to avoid issues."
-- Sample Models: Added "To avoid issues, place this pack above Cake's Cosmetic Pack."
• On the "Character Creator Enabler" Companion Pack, Slighty restructured the pack.
• Added "cos_" for custom model in the Companion Packs to avoid packs with similar names.
• Changed Uuid in order to prevent replacing the pack’s contents.
• Changed Version number to 2.3.0.
-----------------
NOTES:
-----------------
• The lack of character creator skin on compatibility mode with the "Character Creator Enabler" seems to be a Minecraft bug, as it worked on 1.21.50, but is broken on 1.21.60.
• The Translator Book particles require some more polish, but its fine as it is. The polish will be at a later date.
• Turns out, ever since the release of "Cake's Backpacks", i kinda fixed MCPE-126660. Not fully, cause it has more issues than first person. Want an example? Go check Java/Console Aspects player animations (dont steal however).
• The reason why the particles dont appear on the UI with the "Translator Book" particles is because the crashes if it even is called.
-----------------
• Now that im done with this update, there wont be anymore for a while. Mainly because i want to focus on other things.

2.2.1: The Aspects Hotfix

Released on February 23 2025
-----------------
CHANGES:
-----------------
• Renamed persona pack to "Character Creator Enabler" for clarity.
-----------------
FIXES:
-----------------
• On the Character Creator Enabler pack, added a "Compatibility Mode" to add compatibility for some packs. Compatibility isnt availiable for the server "The Hive", i just cant do it. Examples are but not limited to:
-- Actions & Stuff
-- Java Aspects
-- Console Aspects
• Tweaked the Modern Backpack to avoid it Z-fighting with the player's head or itself.
-----------------
PACK DOCUMENTS:
-----------------
• Shorten Numbers on the render controller code for the base pack and the Character Creator Enabler to optimize pack's sizes.
• "Febuary" is now "February" in Changelog.txt.
• Changed Uuid in order to prevent replacing the pack’s contents.
• Changed Version number to 2.2.1.

2.2.0: The Accesibility Update

Released on February 11 2025
-----------------
More than 2 weeks spend in this, and this is one of my biggest updates yet. The changelog may say otherwise but these features took WAY too long to make, especially the companion packs.
-----------------
COMPANION PACK
-----------------
• There are multiple companion packs in this update! They will be addressed later in the changelog but the main one for this update is the following:
• The second companion pack’s theme is weapons. Here are the cosmetics:
-- Quiver: This took a while to make. Bow changes into Crossbow when its in the hotbar.
-- Sword and Shield: Combat + Lite! Sword changes depending on the sword in the hotbar. Priorities best material.
-- Glaive: Long and unreachable, literally.
-- Axed Head: Ow. Axe changes depending on the axe in the hotbar. Priorities best material.
-- Frosted Axe: Port of the tutorial model.
-----------------
CHANGES AND ADDITIONS:
-----------------
• Added 2 new companion packs:
-- The first includes sample models and textures for creator. This could be useful for beginners.
-- The second enables Character Creator skins (also known as Persona) for this pack. It has compatibility for most cosmetics and even shows the vanilla cape to other players! Do note that head cosmetics needs to be changed slighty for compatibility. Details are at Tutorials.txt or in the offical pages for the packs. All cosmetics in the official download page (excluding wings, and all head cosmetics in the weapons companion pack) are compatible with that pack.
• Transfered tutorial model into the weapons companion pack. It is named "Frosted Axe".
-----------------
FIXES:
-----------------
• Fixed typos in the pack.
-----------------
PACK DOCUMENTS:
-----------------
• Made several changes to reduce the pack’s file size. Here are the following:
-- Replaced GIF_1 with a image.
-- Removed note inside of the render controller.
-- All images no longer have underscores in their name.
• Made several changes to the tutorial. Now it stinks less!
-- (pack only) Renamed to Tutorials.txt
-- (pack only) changed file’s visuals.
-- Renamed all images to be order dependant, no longer skipping some numbers.
-- "On my iPhone" is now "On my iDevice". This will get replaced by the type of device you are using, but is a general way of saying a "iOS Device" from the iOS developer community.
-- Changed the wording in certain sections for clarity.
-- Added a advance tutorial above the regular tutorial for adding compatibility for custom head cosmetics.
• Changed and moved the note found inside of the cape’s animation file.
• Changed Uuid in order to prevent replacing the pack’s contents.
• Changed Version number to 2.2.0.
-----------------
NOTES:
-----------------
• If you use the persona companion pack, you may have notice head cosmetics slowly going up/down. This is noticeable on smaller skins.
-- This is because i dont know any locators for the head, similar to Character creator hats. Due to this, i have to force it back at its original position with animations, however, that too isn’t perfect. Depending on my motivation, i may fix it within at least a update away.
• Another thing about it, for some reason, you need all the dependecies of a entity file (material, textures, scripts?, etc.) if you try to add persona rendering. This is a dumb oversite of this method and can be easily skipped.
• Anyway, it seems that compatibility with Aspects works fine without the rotated model. However i didnt change it due to it possibly ruining custom back cosmetics.
-- So i leave the choice to you, creators! Do you want the animation to be removed or should we keep it? Let me know in the comments.

2.1.0: The Feast Update

Released on January 5 2025
-----------------
The first companion pack is out now! If you are not aware, this is how the pack will update in the future. Before using the companion pack, make sure to download the cosmetic pack first and apply it BELOW the companion pack to see the cosmetics.
-----------------
COMPANION PACK
-----------------
• The first companion pack's theme is food. Here are the cosmetics:
-- Cake Hat: Perfect for birthdays! (Fire is fake)
-- Chicken Plate: Always a winner.
-- Chicken Leg: Gorilla glued on your back so its useless. Atleast it looks good.
-----------------
CHANGES AND ADDITIONS:
-----------------
• Fully remade the wings and the elytra texture as I wasnt fond of the old design. Ended up cooking way too hard.
• Updated tutorial model and texture.
-- If you arent aware, the tutorial is available in the pack's folder as a zip file. Uncompress and apply it to one of the custom slots to use it ingame.
• Changed some tutorial images.
• Unrelated to the pack itself but, simplified pack's page and added more things to be way more understandable.
-----------------
FIXES:
-----------------
• Turns out there were bugs, and they were fixed! (I think)
• Cosmetic no longer renders onto other players. This is noticable on public servers.
• The entire cosmetic now disappears when on spectator mode.
• The cosmetic no longer has a hurt and fire overlay.
-- even if the lack of fire overlay doesnt match bedrock, remove it yourself. Dont know how? just google it.
• Fixed an issue with "query.is_item_name_any" being incorrectly called with the wings cosmetic. The fix was another query with the same functionality, just made with the player in mind.
• Fixed certain pivots being incorrect in certain models for compatibity. The following models were fixed:
-- Headphones
-- Wings
-----------------
PACK DOCUMENTS:
-----------------
• Removed the attachables code in the player's entity file as the attachables still render without it.
• Removed the special render controller to have the cosmetic appear with the elytra due to it being useless.
• Shortened variables in each molang script to use aliases to save storage.
• Changed Uuid in order to prevent replacing the pack file.
• Change Version number to 2.1.0.
-----------------
NOTES:
-----------------
• A while ago, a well-known bedrock resource pack creator, Raivay, has found a way to keep custom characters and cape with the player's entity file, as it has an issue with these dissapearing with the player's entity model provided on bedrock samples.
• This does work however, it will not be included in this pack for the following reasons:
-- There is an issue with it needing ALL of the player's entity file (see bedrock samples as a base if you were wondering what it looks like). due to this, packs can overide part of it. This doesnt ensure resource pack compatibility.
-- Even if i were to include it, all of the cosmetics were meant with the player's base model in mind. due to this, The cosmetic isnt connected to the player or its clipping when the player is tall.

2.0.0: The Cosmetic Update

Released on December 24 2024
-----------------
This is the first update i've done in a while and oh boy, its a major one.

As you can see, the changelog is similar to my other pack, Cake's D°UziCraft Java Parity Pack. This will be the main changelog format for my other packs moving onward (ignoring smaller tweaks).

Also development of this pack's update took a huge chunk out of this month. It wasnt suppose to be that way.

Anyways, onto the update! And Merry Christmas. :)
-----------------
CHANGES AND ADDITIONS:
-----------------
• Rebranded the pack from a backpack cape pack, to a cosmetic pack.
-- This is to avoid confusing with the pack, but to also add more cosmetics, improving creativity.
• Increased the amount of slots in the pack, from 3 to 10!
-- This also increases the amount of custom slots, from 1 to 5!
• Added many more cosmetics (one of them is animated!).
• Deleted the "Cape" Subpack as it doesnt match the pack's current vision.
-- The "backpack" Subpack will stay mostly untouched.
• (Accidentily) Made cosmetics render in the ui, allowing you to preview the cosmetic before being in-game!
• Completely remade README.txt into a tutorial, with clearer wording and instroctions to increase the amount of people making custom cosmetics
-- There are also images in the tutorial for a clearer understanding! In the text file, the image being referenced is in the "Images" folder.
-- The model specified in the tutorial is inside the "Tutorial model" ZIP file. Just uncompress and replace all the content from the file into a custom slot to get it working.
• Remade Custom model template to be similar to the classic player model
-- This is just a placeholder for custom cosmetics and is meant to be remove by the time the cosmetic is in the painting process.
• Remade pack icon.
• Changed pack's name and description.
-----------------
FIXES:
-----------------
• Are there any bug fixes? I knows there were bugs when making the update, but those were fixed by the time this changelog is being written. For a better user experience of course.
-----------------
PACK DOCUMENTS:
-----------------
• Restructure pack to allow for fewer editing when making custom cosmetics. This includes be base Cosmetics.
-- For reference, the custom slots, crown and headphones cosmetic shows the bare minimum to get one of the cosmetics working.
• Remove Latelag's cape offset code.
-- This means that this pack is now fully maintained by Cakeofcraft. All assets in this pack is now made by him, no one else.
• Added Changelog.txt, for tracking old and new versions of this pack.
• Pack's minimum version is now 1.20.10
-- This mean the pack cant be used for versions below 1.20.10.
• Changed Uuid in order to prevent replacing the pack file.
• Change Version number to 2.0.0.
-----------------
NOTES:
-----------------
• The pack icon was remade 3 times but the current one is the one im proud of.
• If you wondered how the pack is alot bigger in this update, its because of the images. Otherwise, the pack would have a total size of less than 200kb!
-- And yes, i did try to mitigate the issue as much as possible. This is the most i could do from a initial total size of of 18mb.
• The reason that latelag's Code was removed is beacause they are quite useless in the pack's current vision and it wasnt mine (even if credit is given). It will not come back.
-- And no, he said nothing about the code being used, Its a personal choise.
-----------------
• Now i will take this section to talk about future updates!
-- Updates of this pack work differently. Basically, They will be compagnion packs that changes the current list of cosmetics.
-- These compagnion packs will be made with compatibilty in mind, som you dont have to worry about the pack breaking with one of these compagnion packs.
-- Updates on the regular pack will only come when necessary, or if i want to tweak a cosmetic. Especially the wings. There are things i want to do with them but with my limited knowlegde with bedrock resource packs, were delayed.
-- So if you see an update for this pack, it may be just a new compagnion pack and very unlikely, a new update for the main pack that fixes a thing or two.
